Firewall question

Guys, my router does not have a firewall so i am going to have to use s/w one. Which is best free and paid for ones. thx

The one included with windows is just fine.

I 2nd this... it will prevent something from using outgoing traffic but the main thing here is not to click on crap to allow something to gain a foothold to begin with.

Agreed, your router has an INCOMING firewall, so just use Windows firewall to handle outbound stuff.
No one has any right to force data on you
and command you to believe it or else.
If it is not true for you, it isn't true.

Home grade routers default to gateway mode, so it's running NAT..and that IS a hardware firewall providing protection from all unrequested inbound traffic by default. This is the most important thing you should be concerned about.

I use my router firewall and windows fw.

Where are the settings in Comodo to disable inbound and only alert on outbound?

I'm looking at Network Security Policy but not sure what to do in order to only monitor outbound traffic.
