Any1 have suggestions on a workout?

Post by FFKefka77 »

I was looking into workouts, such as P90X, Insanity, and Tacfit Commando. But not really sure if any of them work. Has any1 tried any of them or have a recommendation of a different one?

The bottom line for excersize is: Do what you can within your limits.

When I do a full workout, I start with about 10 - 15 minutes of stretching. Don't neglect any particular muscle group, or you -will- feel it in the next few days and potentially hurt yourself. After the stretching, I do about 30 minutes of cardio, starting with easy stuff (like jumping jacks) and moving to the harder workouts (12 point bodybuilders). Take a few minutes to recover and hydrate, and then you can move on to something like running to work on your endurance.

It all comes down to what you develop for yourself. In my case, it's stretching + about 15 different excersizes + running. No huge amount of reps (15 jumping jacks, 20 pushups, 5 bodybuilders, etc), but constant moving from one excersize to the other. No muscle group gets toned any more or less than another. And my method may not work for you - you might be aiming for upper body strength, or lower body, or a core muscle group...

We really would need to know more about what you want out of working out before it'd be possible to suggest a plan just for you. :)
So trade that typical for something colorful, and if it's crazy live a little crazy!

lol yea that works 2

But as for what I'm trying to do is lose my belly gut, and kinda give some tone to my upper body, arms, and legs. I tried to do running but I get about 3 blocks and cant run anymore, have to walk the rest. I'm just trying to shape-up a little and give some tone to my body. I dont want to get jacked or anything, just want to get a few pounds off and get some shape

One of the best excercises is to push yourself away from the table. Just start taking long walks and watch what you're eating. The older you get the lazier you get and it tells.

What's your goal? Weight loss? Tone up? Bulk up? I started P90x about 2 years ago. I found that P90x is great for weight loss and tone up, but not bulking up. The other two I havent tried.

The more that you do, the more you soon will be able to do. Walking is about the best overall exercise people can do. (Many doctors do not recommend running/jogging for older people as it is bad for the knees and back...) Try to go a little further each day. The main thing is to keep at it and not make excuses. Someone to walk with helps, just try to keep a fast/steady pace, harder to do if you are talking. The other person helps to keep the other committed to doing it daily...
