Very nice! As soon as my daughter sees the shots of the husky, she's gonna want to come out and kidnap it :D It's her favorite dog, thanks to it's proclivity to having different colored eyes...like her.

Can't wait to see what else you take :)

Nice ones. Is this your first dSLR? If so, you seem to have caught onto it fast.

What lens came with it?

First one.

Spent $350 on a 1MP HP long time ago :D

$300 on an Olympus 3.5MP about 5 years ago.

Got a sweet Sony 10MP for Christmas which really got me itching for this camera.

Came with an EF-S 18-55mm IS f/3.5-5.6 lens.

I've had the EF 18-55 non IS lens, which is a good lens, and under-rated IMHO. These pics look great so it appears the IS version is a really nice lens.

Another under rated lens is the Sigma 18-50 3.5-5.6 DC.

I seem to have done OK with non IS lenses so far so I don't think I'm in any big yank to get IS lenses at this time. :)

What body are you using them with?

That was part of my problem selecting a camera in the first place, trying to figure out how important IS really is, whether it makes a difference being located in the camera body itself or in the lens, etc...

I don't have an EF 18-55 right now. I have 300D and 350D bodies right now.

I'm sure the IS helps and have had it in many P&S cameras. My Sony A200k had it but I haven't noticed a big difference in IS and non IS yet, but that doesn't mean it isn't there.

They say the EF 55-250 IS is a great lens for the $$. Can be bought for about $200 refurbed online.
