spore problem

I bought spore and downloaded off direct2drive.com, I passed the part where you get on land, trying to load tribal and it just freezes everytime, now I can't even load my recent save. Anyone have an idea? I'm runnin vista and over the requirements needed.

what is the hardware your using and are you updated fully with recent drivers?

Updated your vid drivers lately? All updates installed for Windows?

Tried to reinstall the game? -> keep in mind I'm not sure if Direct2Drive has the same DRM protection to only allow you 3 installs like the disk purchase would....so use caution if you do that.

Nvm, i did every update i could find for everything, and it works now, but yeah idk about that 3 install thing, i think its pretty gay tbh.
