I have 2 problems with my LAN / WAN:
1st: Lots of trouble with my LAN to get correct speed.
2nd: Error log and slow down from about 13.5000 to 6.5000 (WAN with Netgear-Router)
PRI=5 2010-05-12 22:52:08 Wed [FVS124G][Firewall] RST packet with out of range ACK number detected from LAN n/w SRC=192.168.0.xx DST=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx PROTO=6tcp SPT=3351 DPT=80
in the log from Netgear, lots of this lines ...
My local configuration:
DomainController - Win2003 Enterprise Server SATA RAID (mirror)
Workstation - WinXP64 SP2 SAS-HD
Switch HP ProCurve 1800-24G (managed)
Router: FVS124G VPN
ADSL-Modem Speedport W500V (from German Telecom, has a router too)
no DHCP, DNS & WINS at DC, fixed IP-adresses
No errors in system protocoll.
Cables Cat5e, checked and changed ...
Some times ago I had optimized with TCPOptimizer, ADSL was pretty good without the Netgear-router (instaed I used the router of the modem) and LAN is much too slow. Now I have done a reset for my ip configuration with "netsh int ip reset" from DOS. But I need to use the Netgear for VPN.
Transfer to server - 1000Mbps FDX: after netsh int ip reset max 90Mbps
Transfer from server - 1000Mbps FDX: after netsh int ip reset max 40 Mbps
Transfer from ADSL : 13.400kbps (+)
Transfer to ADSL : 920 (++)
With the registry keys of TCPOptimizer as following I had problem with the router:
