Post by fastspaz »

i am looking to upgrade my video card, but i don't know if my current pc configuration and hardware will let me... i don't want to buy an entire new computer... but the following is my specs for my pc right now...

2.6ghz amd athon processor
4x dvd burner
52x24x52 cd burner
30 gig hard drive for all my software
120 gig harddrive for media and larger files
512mb of ram... upgradable to 1024MB
i don't know how powerful my power supply is... so if anyone can tell me how to find out i'd appriciate it.
32MB nvidia videocard
plus... i think my mother board is like an AC-70 or something... i'm sorry... this is all i know right now...

i really would like to get a good videocard that has at least 128mb... i'm willing to it $200 or a little over for a videocard... thanks... hope this info helps for giving me accurate advice...

The wattage of your PSU should be right on the side of it if you can pull off the side of the case and look.

That 32 Meg Card blows Whatever it is. Probably a 4 series maybe

6800 nonultra would be a good upgrade

Or an X800Pro or something like that would be good too.
Respect it.

You may endup upgrading the PS with the video card if you go to the 6800 series..

6600 or 6800 GT will do either way but a 400watt+ PS is what your going to want to put in that sucker.. they are pretty cheap to find also.

I'd say your looking at spending about 300$ total if your lucky and look for deals or perhaps someone selling a AGP card of that type.
