Score!!!!!

Post by loop2kil »

Well, I decided to try and get one of the $378 laptops from Walmart this morning. So I went to my wally world at 3 am and believe it or not i wasn't the first idiot there, i was 3rd. The doors opened at 5 am and there was quite literally a mad dash to the 'hot spots.' Everyone was actually running through the store, which was funny to me. The store was an absolute madhouse, and there was almost a fist fight behind me at the door while waiting for the doors to open. Someone thought they were special when the arrived at 4:55 and expected to be among the first to enter store ahead of hundreds of other people who were already in line.

I did manage to get one and ended up being the first person back out of the store. not a bad laptop either....2800 sempron, 256mb, 40 gb, dvd rom/cdrw, wireless.

In all honesty, i would probably do it again for something i wanted.... i live in a very small town...in fact we dont even have the walmart, i had to drive 15 miles to another very small town to get the walmart. From what ive been seeing on the news, my experience was quite tame compared to others. If i lived in a bigger city, i probably wouldn't even had considered it.

Nice score. :thumb: That's just about the same specs as my laptop (I have the 2800 mobile athlon), and $378 is half of what I paid for mine a few months ago. Works well, but is heavy.

County = Newton (far east side) - most of Social Circle is in Walton county though.
