father had surgery today

Post by zooner »

well, this puts him over 360 skin cancer operations.

almost half of his face was removed and grafted from his inner thigh.
a jawbreaker sized lump was removed from his chest
nickel sized lump from his neck

he's been going through this for so long, I would have certainly killed myself a long time ago.

I'm not down about it, it's just part of his life. At one point he was taking 4 different narcotic-level pain meds. He's one tough cookie and he'll be back on his feet making dumb jokes within 3-4 days.

he just called and appears to be in good shape. morphine certainly helps, but it merely dims his pain.
