Saw one guy that cut out some stuff to make the normal stuff fit adn dropped an EQ in the 1/2DIN extra, not a bad idea minus the added cost of an EQ i'll hardly use lol

you mean pocket ? or flat plate?

what year is your bird?

harness as in the mounting unit that would house a 1 DIN headunit and cover the empty space.

I have the perfect kit for you,it has 4 different faces,3 at different lengths from the dash and one with EQ option already in it,

PM me an address and I'll ship it out in the morning :)

( do you need an adaptor harness too?or has the OEM radio plug been cut already?)

here is what the OEM radio plug adapts into if it has'nt been cut yet.

I have one of these too if you need it.

Woa! slow down lol

The problem is the depth of the normal DIN head units, The kit or whatever has to stick out 2 inches or so cuz of the back wall or whatever it is, unless some 1 DIN head units are not as deep as others?

ok,no prob,I have done many installs in cars like that, this kit will cover just about any unit with or without an EQ,

you can also do some easy cutting in those floor ducts to use a shorter kit :)

most aftermarket units are about the same depth,

I was just trying to help,

no biggy,

let me know if you need it,

LOL I was'nt gonna charge you anything,

Well the offer is great, but if it didnt work it would be a horrible waste lol

whats the shortest u think I could get away with?

See my goal is to keep it flush, still undecided on the kit or going with a pioneer headunit that is meant for that size(doesnt do mp3s)

Dan wrote:ya,I'm 5'7 so it fits me great, how tall are you?

this thing is really a nice vehicle,v6,auto,AC,tilt,power everything,cruise,16" wheels,5k tow,etc,etc

it was 25k$,,,,,it's been good,a little over 3 years now put through hell and never ONE problem at all with it.

I did'nt like the front end,dash,15" wheels, hood,& some other stuff on the 00 & 01,if you remember we bought an 01 and did'nt like it so 5 months later we traded it for this 02,and are totally happy with it..

I'm about 6'.

When I rented it, it was brand spanking new, and that was in '02. Like I said, I really liked it except for the seating position.
