Really touching (to me) tombstone reading I saw...
Not long ago over the XMas holidays I was over at one of the local cemetaries, paying my respects over there.
Now I had seen this before and it touched me, but I wrote it down this time. It's on a granite stone that's built as a bench, not your normal headstone or anything like, but a fully usable bench about wide enough for 4 peeps to sit on. Nice weeping style oriental flowering tree of sorts next to it, really pretty looking setup.
Anyways, the writing on the bench goes like this...
"I don't need very much now" said the boy
"Just a quiet place to sit and rest.
I am very tired."

Wow!
That is just too priceless for words. Almost as if the family is giving to the entire world....the gift of the boys last thoughts possibly. What a magnificent thought...and deed. Thanks for sharing. Now I need some kleenex!

I read that inscription as meaning....this boy...knew he was dying...his needs very little remaining...but that he was tired...and needed a place to sit and rest. His family took it upon themselves to grant his wish to the rest of the world for whomever might need it. A place to sit and rest.
