Need Back-up Info Fast!!!

Hi,

I am going to be sending my toshiba laptop off to toshiba for repair on monday Jan 24, 05. I need to make an image of the 40GB hard drive before I send it off. the laptop is cooked so I can't us it to do the image. I have the hardrive in a NexStar external 2.5" HD enclosure that runs via USB. so I can get to the info on the HD on my computer.

so what I need to know is what software can I use to make on image of an external HD via a USB and I need to know ASP I only have tomorrow (sunday) to do the image! this is my school laptop and I can do anything with out it.

also...maybe ya can get one of those 3.5 to 2.5 adapters(work great) and use ghost to make an image..im thinking usb gunna b kinda slow for a whole hdd backup

First off thank you all for the replys. I have ghost but todate I have had too many problems with the DOS USB drives to get that to work. so I am trying the Acronis True Image. I would like to get the ghost working, then I would be able to run an image to my portable ext. HD every once and a while.

so if anyone has any info on getthing an iomega portable ext. HD to run ghost via DOS with USB's it would be a great help. that would be why I got the ext. in the first place.

ghost 9.0

it is powerquest's software........ V2i protector. (symantec bought it and made it into ghost)

i use it all the time for my customers and it works like a charm

just for being quick I ended up using the backITup from nero to burn to DVDs. I think it would have been faster to get the ghost working on the ext. HD but I just need the backup and had the time so.
