Post by mountainman »

Well, if you couldn't tell by the thread title/starter combo what this is:

I PASSED !!!

:)

Yep, went up to Bluffton in the 152 and am now an official FAA Private Pilot. Thanks to all of you who wished me well. I already took my dad up for a flight.

Brembo & Brent:

Thanks for the congrats!

It took me since April 17 (7 months and 5 days). It isn't really fast, but not too bad. Some people do it in a couple months if they really kick butt and take names. For me, weather, work and vacation cut into my flying. LOL

Brent, I am thinking about flying for the Highway Patrol and/or ANG, but for now, it's for fun. :)

I love the bit in the middle when they're using a recording of pilots going thru their checklist...

Thanks again, guys!

Indy, when I get to take the trip to Illini, I may have to stop by Indy and pick you up. Have a mini-meet. :D

Ace, get down to Lima and I'll take you up! LOL Or, if you want to go skydive, I will probably be flying down there more regularly. :)

Randy, I already picked it up... but it's gone now.

In other news, I bought a new LearJet. :D ;)

Maybe next time I fly with passengers, I'll take my parachute on with me. LOL

And what do you mean you don't fly without a parachute?

Thanks ub3r and JCoS!

I don't need the parachute. These planes make great gliders when the engine is off. I almost put it into a field yesterday during my test. She made sure I could and I was about 100-150AGL before she stopped the emergency portion of the test. LOL I thought I was going all the way to the ground!!

Oh yeah... I'm ready to fly your 747 now. Let me know when you're heading back.

Congratulations though I'm jealous!

You know you don't need to ask me about wanting to go for a ride. I just question whether my lungs will take it. Perhaps one day, we can find out. ;)
