So whats your deal? Are you a regular member using a new nick, or do you just troll message boards at random with this stuff?rightwinger wrote:"Oh and do not try to compare wwii with the war againt iraq. Ever."
And why is that? Explain yourself. And it better be a better reasoned argument than the "Special Article" cited above. I would like to see that one.
Funny is when a fat lady walks around while someone plays the tuba. Once you've seen that, you'll never laugh at anything else. Except maybe a skeleton dancing around while someone plays the xylophone, which is almost exactly the opposite of a fat lady walking around while someone plays the tuba. Well, a skeleton is the opposite of a fat lady. But is a xylophone the opposite of a tuba? History will decide.

It is only that I am a bit fatigued of hashing though this argument, yet again.

I want to learn more and more to see as beautiful what is necessary in things; then I shall be one of those who make things beautiful. Amor fati: let that be my love henceforth! I do not want to wage war against what is ugly. I do not want to accuse; I do not even want to accuse those who accuse. Looking away shall be my only negation. And all in all and on the whole: some day I wish to be only a Yes-sayer.

In fact, it kind of makes you wish donald rumsfeld had put a stop to this when it was all actually happening, rather than buddying up with Hussein and sending him expensive weapons to do his dirty work with! Wouldn't you say?
If I didn't know better, it almost makes all this stone-faced junk about Iraq being a mission of mercy that these same people feed us today look like a hypocritical load of BS, don't you think?
Say Rightwinger, how many people do you think fit into that grave?
Could it be as many as 1000 people, the same as the number of troops that have died in operation Iraqi "freedom"?
Or could it even be tens of thousands, as many as the number that died during the invasion, or that have died from all the bombings since Hussein fell, and the country became over-ran by terrorists in the most ironic twist of events ever?
Its a good thing the US is there to help. I guess that why 100% of Iraqi citizens are happy to be liberated, never want the US to leave and show their troops gratitude and affection whenever they see them.
Gosh, thats pretty horrible stuff! A dictator gassing his people with chemical weapons! you know your lambasting of the US is getting a little old. Maybe the US should just not try and help anymore. Hell lets leave it to the French, Germans, Russians,Pakastanie, Turkey and the rest of the world to step up to the plate and at least try to help. You like to spout off at the mouth and try to degrade what ever action the US takes. Tell me this what other county has stepped up to the plate as many times as the US and given so much for others.

Honestly, I think myself and many other Americans would've found the Iraq pill much easier to swallow if it were being marketed to us as "Saddam is an evil dictator. He has committed numerous crimes against his own people, and this is one of many reasons why he should be stopped. This isn't about a possible indirect threat he may be to our country as much as it's about the threat he is to people of his region, especially those within his own borders. This is an evil man who will not listen to reasoning, and will only be stopped when he is directly removed from power."
Instead, we got "ZOMG HE'S GOT MILLIONS OF WMDs AND IS ALLIED WITH AL QAEDA! NEVER FORGET 9/11!!1"![]()
Who are we to say anything about gassing of their own people. We placed shiploads of sailors close by to Nuclear Detonations, We have hit our own troops with Agent Orange (That they still deny) and the last war the mysterious Desert Storm disease that they also deny. There have also been other testing on americans of other noxious, poisonous weapons as well. We should clean up our own backyard. They knew about that crap in Iraq ages ago and did nothing. I saw films of people in Sudan and other SA countries going around chopping people with Machetti's , men , women and children, entire villages. We did nothing there. What was so damn special about Iraq?
Other then the obvious.

I never claimed we're perfect. We certainly have more than our fair share of skeletons in our closets. However, I do believe that intent makes a difference, even if the end result does share some similarities. Saddam knew fully what he was doing, and his goal was murder. I can only hope (for lack of a better term) that accidents or even gross negligence are to blame for the related problems which have inflicted our troops or citizens. While I highly doubt that the event(s) or action(s) that caused something like Gulf War Syndrome were intentional, I wish someone would come clean about it.

Honestly, I think places like Sudan are going to be a real test of Bush's "war on terror." We'll get to see if this is simply a war against those directly responsible for 9/11 and the man who tried to off W's father, or if this is truly an attempt to rid the world of evil dictators and terrorists who threaten the free world.

We went to Iraq for the right reasons. To get rid of a brutal dictator who massacred his own people. He also had Weapons of Mass Destruction. The man was able to bury several fighter jets in the sand, how hard is it to bury small containers of chemical weapons.
I bet the people who are no longer in Saddam's rape rooms and torture chambers are glad you liberals aren't calling the shots.

Oh, and I suppose 10+ years of Conservative decision making made the rapes/torture less frequent and severe???????
So before you spout off at the mouth about liberals.....think about that long 10+ year period of Republican inaction. FYI, I am a Republican.

You're a "Mickey Mouse" Republican. One of those Republicans who registers Republican so that he can spit off his liberal rhetoric, bad mouth Republicans and then at the end, claim to be a Republican.
Well maybe your HERO Bill Clinton should have done something other than cheat on his wife with 10 different women.

You know, before you go insulting the members of the board, if I might make a suggestion? Get to know them first. Secondly, the name calling and insulting is against the TOS.......Krazy Kraut wrote:You're a "Mickey Mouse" Republican. I'd also suggest that you do a search of UOD's posts. You'll see your not only wrong but you would owe UOD and all of Speedguide an apology for your brash statements that carry no merit.

Even though I'm NO fan of Clinton, he did initiate Desert Fox....or do you just want to forget about that little tidbit of information. and that was while the Republicans had control of Congress.
Again, I ask...what did the Republicans do in the 10+ years leading up to the war in Iraq? Maintain the staus quo?????
