Speedguide. you rocks!

Post by TeenInternetAddict »

Ok, I was a DSLR user for over a year now. DSLR have where you can write a journal on their site, other readers can read and reply to your journal. Today is my last day of using DSLR for anything because I got insult in a I.M. and I'm very sad and angry. No, it wasn't in their so called forums or anything, I started a journal called "Real life", and this fool have the indecent nerve to IM me today saying that my grammar and English is horrendous and I need go back to school and work on my grammar and English, I was a retard(which I'm not because I do make very good grades, I assure you people that's retarded wouldn't know nothing about fixing and repairing computers, tweaking, or the Internet like I do and I have been online for 6 years now.), and that I didn't amount to nothing, and I might as well forget about getting my Bachelor in Computer Science degree, over 18 and didn't have my HS Diploma or GED and that speaks volume, get a job working at McDonald's because it suits me better. Who wants to work at McDonald's? I don't, because McDonald's pay does stinks.

I hurried up and unsubscribe at DSLR at that moment. I'm going to remove DRTCP and use TCP Optimizer or Cablenut for tweaking my system for now on. I'm not using DSLR for nothing anymore, except for their speed tests and that's it. I was very hurt when the guy told me that. Well, I'm still going to get my Bachelors of Science in Computer Science as I planned in 2006. I'm not going to listen to some fool online. I will amount to something and will be better than he is. You guys at Speedguide rocks! You don't make fun of retarded people(which I'm not), people's grammar or English. Mines is very good because I'm working on my HS Diploma right now, my HS teacher said that I do write very good, I'm not retarded because I make As, Bs, Cs and my parents are very proud of me. So, I'm going to forget that fool at DSLR, I'm using Speedguide because smart people use SG and not DSLR which are nothing but close minded, unintelligent fools. Are my grammar and English good? If not, I'm going to work on both, but I'm working on American History right now.

Ignore people who talk like that. Most of them are insecure about who they are and talking down to you makes them feel better. What it does show is that they are immature and lack basic interpersonal skills that will see them through life. Like you said, grammar, spelling and punctuation are not indicators of intelligence. Insulting someone who does have a grammar challenge speaks volumes about who they are. Insecure to the point they have to attack someone else to feel superior.

An insult from someone you don’t know should be ignored and given no value. If someone you respect and admirer was to insult you, then that would be hurtful. But someone you respect and admire will not do that.

Forget those morons over at DSLR. Their loss is our gain. Green square on the way my friend.
People will forget what you said... and people will forget what you did... but people will never forget how you made them feel.

I'm also a member at Broadbandreports.com - BBR/DSLR - known as Road Runner. I have yet had any issues with their site; I've had a couple of unpleasant IMs here and there, but, there is a feature called "Block IMs" - Why let ONE IM unsubscribe your usage at BBR? If things get really out of hand to the point of no control, Contact one of the moderators there.

Me, personally, I enjoy both speedguide and BBR - they are both fine ... visit everyday.

Burke, that what I was thinking too. As BaLa said, don't take nothing on the web as personal, it's just somebody that think they're better than me blowing hot cyberair. Maddoctor, you're right about making fun of people's english, grammar, and pronouncation doesn't show any indication of their intelligence, it's only show their stupidity and ignorance for their fellow human beings. I don't have a grammar challenge problem because I do make As and Bs in 11th grade English which is very good, said my teacher. Because if they have any common sense and some intelligence left, they wouldn't be sitting behind their keyboard making fun of people in the first place. Then the guy said that I shouldn't join the computer field and I won't amount to nothing, I should go work for McDonald's because McDonald's would suit me better. Maybe where this fool lives, there are no computer jobs.

But where I live, that's not even the case, because there are plenty and plenty of computer jobs and you only need your A+ Certification before employers will hire you as a computer repair tech. McDonald's aren't even hiring for anything right now, like I want to go work at McDonald's, the pay is terrible and I already work there two years ago. Well, DSLR's loss is SG's gain, I'm going to use this site from now on. I'm going to use TCP Optimizer and the tweaking forum here at SG, the tweaking forum here doesn't delete threads about tweaking, you won't get nasty I.M's and this is the site that Cox tells you to use to tweak your registry for Cox HSI connection. They don't tell you to use DSLR or DRTCP at all. I might reconsider signing up for DSLR, Roadrunner Express, in a year or so. Now I feel much better in a better forum community like Speedguide :)

It's your decision. Personally, I think it's pretty silly that you're leaving the site OVER 1 IM. If you have problems with the threads being deleted, etc. - why don't you sort out the issues with the moderator who took action? You can enjoy both speedguide and BBR at the same time - just change the way you look at the situation - it's easy IMO.
