Problems copy from desktop to PDA???

Post by Baine »

Hello,
Whenever I try and copy a file to my PDA from my desktop PC, explorer seems to crash, and the file doesn't get copied - I've done it before, and never had this problem.
The event viewer message I get is:
The shell stopped unexpectedly and Explorer.exe was restarted.

Any suggestions?
Thanks if anyone can help

Check your PDA site and see if they released updated software. If so, download it and give that a try.

Is this a Palm or PocketPC?

I would make sure that the desktop sync software is updated and installed correctly.

So you need either active sync for PocketPC or the Palm Desktop Sync...I would reinstall whichever you have. Also, make sure the USB drivers are good to go...sometimes reinstalling those fix the sync issues.

Make sure you reboot your PC as well.

Thanks guys,
It would appear that the active sync (sorry UOD, I've always thought PDA meant pocket PC) was messing things up.
Take care, and thanks again
