damn, now we are losing to countries that are barely even heard of around here.

how "pro" are these pro guys on our team?
maybe rather then giving them millions they should go over and recruit from these poor countries..

yeah but they're all first time appearances in the olympics right?

they shouldve taken the lower named people who are like really good shooters and passers, instead its like the high school student council, goin by popularity and whether or not ur name is known.

yep, it's been mostly NBA players since the '92 Summer Games, when the true NBA "Dream Team" was compiled..

Anyone remember the world basketball championships in Indianapolis 2002?

Argentina defeats them 87-80.. . The very next night, Yugoslavia knocked them out of medal contention 81-78..

It was obvious, there was too much business and not enough basketball going on inside their heads..

There is no "we" either. Kidding aside... They seriously need to learn how to play as a team though. One word to sum them up; pathetic.

we dont have our best team out there plain and simple. Where is KG or Redd or Bibby or Nash or McGrady or on and on and on. No outside shooting is killing this team. Also LBJ should be strarting :D

We should still be handing it to the other teams regardless of who isn't playing. USA Basketball needs a new direction... it needs an overhaul; guys that can actually play as a team!

Most of these other teams practice toghether for a lot before the olympics. We would be fine if we had the "right people". I keep hearing that excuse that we aren't playing as a team but im not buying it. If you watch the games you see they are passing the ball crisply not commiting many turnovers and rebounding like crazy. The Defense isnt horrible either. The only thing you notice is the terrible FG %. Shooting % is killing this team. Now if you had KG and Redd and McGrady.......
