Death to Smoochy

Post by Faust »

anyone like this movie?

the first time i saw it, i was like.... "WTF?!?". got a couple laughs, but most of the movie was spent with a furrowed brow.

it's grown on me, though. after the initial consternation of the first time around, i can relax and appreciate it more (= more laughs).

BTW, Robin Williams is a nut.

I hated the Bird Cage and stood clear of this one when it was released.

Robin Williams still is one of my favorite comedic and dramatic actors but I'm still not watching Smoochy. :D

Good Morning Faust

I caught Smoochy on the Dish a few months back. A strange premise, but i thought the Movie was excellent.

It appealed to me because it had a different take on things. I am so sick of Things Blowing up all the time and Actors (Vin Diesel types) that simply cannot act. Williams is better than he is given credit for imho.

Yeah I like that movie. :D It's an interesting take on the kid show scene. Spinner Dunn is classic too. The best scene is when Smoochy is all singing to the Nazi party. Than they all sieg hiel him. :D

I'm Rainbow fuking Randolph dam it!

to many bad reviews, so I never bothered to waste my $8 on it. I won't waste my time on it when broadcast tv finaly decides to air it either. (2 hours of my time is worth more than $8)

I do like robin williams, loved him in the Fisher King.
Well ROTFL, Skip, it ain't gonna happen; you'd better get back to buying armor upgrades off eBay.

i really enjoyed this movie, especially when he says "you just f#cked with the wrong rhino!" mostly because it is a parody of american history x. edward norton really makes the movie along with all the others he does because of his realism in the acting he does.
