Friday is it !!!

Post by IRS »

Friday is it,
The Boss came up to me first thing this morning and told me “ I’m sorry to tell you this but there’s not enough work to keep us going so Friday is your last day.”
In some ways I’m way bent out of shape, I’ve spent the last five years as a one man stand alone high volume print shop for one of the top 25 engineering firms in the world, and if you have ever worked with engineers before you know you eat more than you daily allotment of shat sandwiches but that’s just part of the biz…..
So Fri is it, and I’m trying to look at it as a chance to do something I really like maybe going back into building bikes or cabinetry, who knows but I do know I need to do something that challenges my mind, and that I enjoy.
Now I’m off to explore the job market.

Hope you all have an outstanding week….. Brian
You make it, We take it !

Total bummer. Sorry.
People will forget what you said... and people will forget what you did... but people will never forget how you made them feel.

Yeah, the whole construction industry seems to be lagging a bit. We are hoping the economy picks up a little faster.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck Brian. I am an Engineer myself, and have dealt with the types you speak of, can make for some very trying times to say the least.

Good luck to you.

Sorry to hear that. :(

Ohio has been losing jobs left and right. But our Governor says things are on the up and up.

Then they wonder why damn near all the College Graduates in Ohio are leaving.

I'm looking to get out myself. Manufacturing blows. Everything is getting sent overseas.
Respect it.

That just blows, Brian. Jobs are getting harder to find in Topeka, Kansas. Right now, employers aren't hardly hiring for anything. Then they notice why people are moving, there isn't hardly no jobs left  I have been without a job for 2 years now and I'm sick of being broke. You can't do nothing when you're broke and your self esteem gets low. I have been looking and looking for a job but there's no one hardly hiring for nothing. There's temporary agenices hiring and while I hate working for temporary agencies, it's better than being broke. I want to buy things and can't buy nothing when I am broke. After I get my college degree, I'm planning on moving far away from Topeka and Kansas. Might have to relocate to find a job because I won't find anything. By the time I graduate from college, the economy should be improving at a snail's pace
