Wardriving question.

Hello all, i have a quick question about wardriving. Would using a high gain omni directional antenna increase the range of networks one would be able to pick up over just using a normal wireless nic? Or do omni directional antennas only increase the range of a network, not increase the range that one would be able to pickup networks from? Thanks for any help in advance!

The signal does not discriminate. A better Antenna on the Gateway or Access Point makes your Network Better, and makes it more detectable as well.
