Remove or uninstall webtweak for Win98SE (sq_webtweak_9x.zip)

Post by SpeedG »

I unintentionaly installed 'sq_webtweak_9x.zip ' before I backed up my registry.

I observed that the 'sq_webtweak_2x.zip' has an out with a 'sguide_web_default_2k.inf' to restore old values.

Is there an easy way out of this situation to remove the Webtweak for windows 98se.

Please Help!

Thank You very much for your quick response. I would be interested in an easy step by step tweaking implementation.

However, I should wait because I am planning to upgrade to XP very soon.

I have to be honest here, I hardly ever backup my registry before tweaking or messing within the registry, and I never have had trouble.

Speedguides tweak's can't cause your system to stop working or not boot, so it really isn't a big deal, but is still always a good idea to always backup the registry nontheless.

Yes, I discovered that tweaks can cause problems. Rather than debug the thing at this time I elected to releive myself of a greater problem that what I had started.

Thanks
