Dear Experts

I posted this question on printing forums since Nov 12 but I haven't got answer yet

At work we have got Xerox DocuCentre-V C2263. Initially my laptop was connecting to the printer and I was able to print, and the printer ip address was 192.168.3.22

Recently we moved the office to a different building and my laptop lost connection to the printer.
Initial troubleshooting to check the printer ip address because I couldn't ping the previous address 192.168.3.22

I tried to check the printer ip address V4 but I failed to find it, I guess I found only ip v6, please see attached photos

Thanks

Well, seems your "new" lan is using IPv6. Does the printer work ok in that environment? If not, you could try to manually set IPv4 on both the printer and the client laptop, and try to connect that way. In the laptop, you can always navigate to the Network adapter properties, and turn off IPv6. Printers also have manual network setup via their interface/buttons.

If you know that the network does support IPv4 addressing, just turn off IPv6 in your laptop for a while and try to find the printer and install the printer drivers that way.

What is running DHCP for your network? A server? A router/firewall? Check that..check the leases.

Part of managing networks is keeping control of network addresses of important devices, such as servers, printers, MFPs, etc. I manage those through DHCP....printers and MFPs and certain other important network devices (like a NAS)...are assigned a static IP via DHCP Reservations. Servers...important ones like DCs I set them locally/manually. Other member servers just pull a static via DHCP reservations.
