DSLReports, that other broadband forum seems down for the count

Post by chpalmer »

Looks like dslreports is down for the count.. Maybe just a hardware issue but its been days.

There are a bunch of the members reaching out for somewhere else to go so hope this draws a few until and if their site comes back up..

Welcome back to SG! Sorry to hear about the DSLReports forum actually.. Hope they bring it back up, there was a lot of useful info there compiled over the years.. I may go and post in their reddit or something, most of the members probably don't know about SG

Hello!
I just joined here at SpeedGuide.net shortly after DSLReports.com went dark.

With permission from Philip, I wanted to share the new spiritual successor to DSLReports.com named Broadband Bulletin.
The site has only been up for a few days now but is gaining a lot of old members from DSLReports and new alike!
Please feel free to check it out.

Welcome to Broadband Bulletin

I very much doubt at this point that DSLReports.com will come back online this time. I heard about the rumor of the site being shut down well before it occurred, I failed to give it a lot of credence... I was so wrong not to. :(

A 25 year member of DSLR "HFB1217" shared information that they were given from DSLR moderator "MIKE" regarding the planned shutdown of DSLR.

DSLR Oldtimers...

A monumental loss for the great community of DSLReports.com. However, SLC_96 has created is so little time, an amazing new haven for our DSLR community at Broadband Bulletin. I encourage everyone to check it out! :)

I will 100% be sure to share with everyone at Broadband Bulletin of SpeedGuide.net too!
There is a treasure trove of invaluable information on SpeedGuide.net along with a fantastic community.
I hope this site never goes dark like DSLReports.com did.

Cheers!
And a big thank you to Philip. :thumb:

Good luck with the Broadband Bulletin Dustyn, it's all about the community, I'm glad that someone is trying to help the DSLReports crowd.

IIRC, I joined both DLSR and SG in 2001. Perhaps because DLSR seemed to have more information pertinent to my particular networking concerns back then, my interaction here decreased to less than sparse. Thank you @Philip for supporting the notice about Broadband Bulletin.

Whoa, 2001 :) Nice to see some of the old timers around. I purged some old inactive accounts, but kept those with multiple posts.
