What kind of wallet do you use?
What kind of wallet do you use?
Just curious.
My black Eagle Creek hemp wallet is 20+ years old and looks it.
Like to replace it with a nice leather or eel skin one.
Always carried a trifold. Bulkier but more room.
Anyone here used both but prefer bifolds?
(Yes Ken, I know you you're a bi kind of guy)

Jesus dude
I have a Castanza wallet (ancient Seinfeld)
I like using cash. Either there or it's not, but you're not paying interest at least.
Only carry 2 credit cards but have my ATM cards and a few other things...too much.
Have a habit of always asking for a cc receipt so I can double check the charges or use them for a return, but they add up.
Use credit 90% of the time regardless.
Loving the Rakuten one I got. Better rate than my *sh*tty* BOA one and I get money back in points that add up a lot more quickly.
Just ordered a new wallet and watch, didn't pay (them) at all
Anyway, I try to go through my wallet every week or so and take out receipts and notes from work. Just always had a trifold and am thinking of going with a bifold. Will know in a week or so.

Real life scenario...at least in Humboldt...Stop by the drinking hole after work for drinks with my girlfriend. Sign on the door. Cash only, happens a few times per year.Dan wrote: I never carry cash.
ATT won't buy space on a redundant line up here, so when the line goes down we're all f*cked.
Including me and my woman if I didn't have cash.
I get by just fine with carrying no cash, haven't carried cash in many years,
a CC is safer than a debit/atm card also.
I use a alaska air miles card and it really works.that's how I fly to the islands free every other trip.
I have had the card 5 years now and have never paid a penny in interest,as I said ,I pay the full balance every statement,I also have an insane good fico scores as well.due in part to that CC.
I use Quicken and online banking to track my finances daily.all my bills are auto pay on my cc and are all paperless as well,I pay one bill pay a month manually and that's to the cc.and many of the stores I shop at send me an email receipt with no paper trail.I am a n a l about my ID theft protection and my credit reports and fico scores.
and that seinfeld wallet episode is one of my favorites.

Old black bi-fold wallet.
Holds cards and crap I stuff in it periodically.
Clean it out every 5 xmas or so when gifted a new one.
NEVER have cash in wallet, cash always in front pocket.

I actually spend less NOT carrying cash.not that places I go to don't take my CC,but cash seems to be easier to spend,it seems to find ways out of my pocket when I have it.YeOldeStonecat wrote:I got this bi fold ancient Timberland black leather wallet. Swear it's well over 20 years old.

So when the lights go down we're all f*cked.
Including me and my blow up woman if I didn't have cash to pay Bubbles off. (he's out of prison now and remembers me from childhood)
Fixed!
We appreciate your honesty, Humby, however that's TMI...
Pics of said girlfriend or it didn't happen!
Definitely not bi here, I have used a trifold for ~40 years, currently using a Fossil.

Hey Humboldt
I just bought this one about a month ago.
Love it.
Needed to replace the garbage I bought at Wally world a year ago that completely fell apart.

And no pics of girlfriend, too pretty to be soiled here.
Sorry.
It was a gift from one of my girlfriends. I can provide pics of said lady, however this is a PG-13 forum...
But, it's OK Humby, we don't need pics of your blow up girlfriend. Just be careful so that you don't puncture her!

I stopped carrying my wallet with me. I was thinking, all it is does now is hold my growing collection of cards, all of which I need to keep, but I only really need two for day to day use. So now I just carry a credit card, and my picture ID. I suppose I should find a small sleeve (so the cards last longer) for just two cards, but nothing as bulky as a full size wallet.

Yeah, exactly why I'm digging the bi-foldDan wrote:
People always looked at the tri-fold, and I'd say, "Yeah, it's a Castanza wallet."
Most got it.
This new one I have room for money and maybe a receipt or 2, license and a couple credit cards, medical and auto. That's it.
Loving it. Leave it in my pocket when driving occasionally (on short trips), that's how big a difference it is.

I used a small black leather bag . Folding just once I think it is convenient.

I carry a Croft & Barrow® RFID-Blocking Extra-Capacity Hipster Wallet, it has a nice capacity for cards, cash and not too bulky! The real question is where do you carry your wallet, back or front pocket? If you have chronic lower back pain and carry your wallet in your back pocket then moving it to the front will most likely resolve the issue. It may take a little getting use to but worth the effort!
