They have been having problems with their DNS servers in the Bellsouth territory.

You will need a router to use both computers at the same time because your ISP has limited your account to one IP address at a time. A switch or hub wont work.

the config has EVERYTHING to do with it.... if you don't have the right one it won't push your speeds for powerboost.

If you really want to dig a little deeper you can use a tool like DocsDiag to find out the name of the config file and the address of the TFTP server that hosts it.

I don't know of a VOIP provider that allows collect calls. Some will assign you a toll free # for a fee but even that won't work if the caller is using a pay phone at a correctional institution.

DOCSIS 2.0 was approved over 5 yrs ago and I don't know of a single operator that offers speeds that max out DOCSIS 1.0. I see 3.0 as a band-aid until speeds comparable to fiber can be delivered to a subscribers home. (in Japan or Korea)

The log entries needed to diagnose are lost due to the modem logging debug entries. I don't see a problem with your signal levels so I would probably try a new modem if all your connectors and splitters pass inspection as suggested.

Sometimes the ISP doesn't consider off air interference when assigning downstream and upstream data channels. Some cable modems have very poor shielding. Is somebody broadcasting on channel 58 in your area?
