SB4200 and BEFSR41v2

Is SB4200 and BEFSR41v2 a good combination for OOL? If not, what should I upgrade?

Stubborn Connection

I'm trying to optimize my connection between me and my dad. We use Optimum Online Cable on SB4200 and BEFSR41 v2. My father is the host computer, he is using a CAT5E cable from a network adapter to a nonuplink and nonwan port on the BEFSR41 v2. My config is the same. The SB4200 is connected by CAT5 ...

Cablenut settings. (Using OOL, don't know my caps)

TCP options string = 020405b401010402
MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.
MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which equals MSS.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 64240
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 64240

RWIN is a multiple of MSS ...

Who said I was ever banned from OOL? They removed the reduced cap and now I am terrified to use Kazaa Lite. Besides, I'm only 15 and I don't have the ability to buy DSL as much as I want to do so.

In answer to the kind of server I want to run. It's an IRC Server using the SysReset Filesharing ...

Servers on cable without penalty?

I still don't understand how everyone else using p2p and IRC are serving files on cable connections (Including OOL users who have had servers running for months without a problem) without penalty. Is there something I'm missing here, like uncapping? Because it seems that I'm the only one has to ...

Why does everyone always forget the T2?

I just remembered that OC-255 was the fastest around... Suddenly my cable modem feels so slow. Like a 14.4k on the bunny slopes of speed.

Broadband ISPs are corrupt to the core... Their method of operation contradicts what the term "High-Speed Internet" stands for. When a company does not allow filesharing just because the server can't take it, TOO BAD! If 56k, ISDN, Satellite, or DSL can handle something that cable can't... Like ...

If you must know, I was only distributing fansubbed anime (THAT HAS NOT BEEN LICENSED IN AMERICA YET) over an fserve on MIRC. Because the anime is unlicensed, it is not illegal material.

Also, according to the OOL Support guy I talked to. OOL does not allow the USE, not just serving, the USE! of ...

YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!

They drop the cap from 120 KB/s to 150 kb/s!!!!! How the hell do I get around this. I see other people on IRC who have not uncapped their OOL cable modem still get higher than what I should be getting.

IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO BESIDES KISSING CABLEVISION'S THIEVING ARSE?

What the hell happened to my upstream?

Cable Modem: Surfboard 4200
Router and Ethernet Card: Linksys
ISP: Optimum Online
Where problem is most evident: Upstream for fileserving on IRC

A couple of days ago I was topping my upstream at 120 KB/s, now my upstream is barely going past 20 KB/s. I'd like to know what is wrong, how I can fix it ...
