What are the advertised speeds for your plan from your ISP?

You are getting the speeds you are paying for. Did you ask them if you could be upgraded to 3mb? As long as your with in like 12k ft. you should be able to get 3mb.

If you are paying for 128/128 then your actually getting a little faster than that on your speed test. Your getting about 200/200. What is your connection speed that you pay for?

According to the information you posted from your modem it looks like you have a max attainable rate of 3052/1355. However, your modem is only syncing at 253/252. Is this a dry loop install, or is it a shared line with voice and data? Your speed test support this conclusion.

In the last couple days when you started to notice the slow speeds did you make any changes to your modem or router setup? Do you have any other software, downloads, computers, or devices using the connection? If you have wireless setup is it secure?

No problem after they set your speeds check that area again. It should say 3000/whatever your upload speed is. Once they fix that I think you will be fine.

That was what I suspected. Your modem is only syncing at 768/384. It looks like your ISP provisioned you to the wrong speed. Tell them you are on the 3mb plan and your modem is only syncing at 768kbps.

Well it sounds as if you are not syncing at the proper speed. That is why your downloads are slow. You could try to contact your ISP and have tell you where to locate your sync rate or bit rate in your modem. If you place your cursor over the word Broadband at the top of this page you will see broadband tools. Click SG TCP/IP Analyzer. Post the results of that page here. Also, run a speed test at http://www.speedtest.net to the closest location to you. Post the results of the speed test as well.

Please download the latest version of TCP Optimizer from this site. Right click TCP Optimizer and run as admin. Select optimal at the bottom, click apply, and reboot your computer. Run a new TCP Analyzer test and post it here.

Your speeds look good. The reason they are slower in the second speed test is because the location is 1500 miles away. The reason you have such lag is because you are over 200ms at hop 2 to your ISP. You need to contact your ISP and let them know. Send them your tracert so they can see.
