Changed HD's Jumpers, now PC won't open Windows!
Hi,
My brother brought his PC (Win98, PIII 600MHz, 256MB RAM, Maxtor 30GB HD) over this morning to my house, he wanted help in doing a clean install of windows. Turned out I had a spare 3GB HD lying around, so I thought it would be a good idea to install both drives, to later use the small one as a ...

VERY BASIC "How to use a computer" tutorials?
Hi,
I just got my parents a new PC (...they bought me my first computer so they very much deserved to have one of their own).
It came with Windows XP Home, and although there's several tutorials bundled with it for computer newbies, most of it is the typical trial software kind of crap (it's an HP ...

Adding 2nd HD to a Compaq with a thin flat Quantum HD
Hi,
I've looked in several places on the web for information on a Quantum hard drive, you see, my sister has a Compaq (not sure what model it is right off the bat but I can get it if anyone needs me to), which is thin (sorta flat looking) and also larger (about as big as a cd-rom, just half as tall ...

correction
PC in question has 256MB of DDRAM and not 64MB as I wrote in the original post, the 64MB DDRAM is the shared video memory.
Also forgot to mention it has the WinXPHome OS, and is a 2.2GHz Pentium 4... Was in a hurry to go run an errand, my apologies...
