No worries ..have you noticed the inconsistancy of Comcasts network lately??..its bad out here..10 one day..8 the next...but the bill always shows up on time..lol*

I hear ya ...any pwr supply under 450 nowadays is almost worthless..major cause of failures and hard to diagnose for most..all the new cheap Vid cards are creating problems to.

Yes..but, in fact, i noticed a considerable jump going from 1 to 2 gigs on this 64bit box..i have 6 other puters with vatious OS,s and RAM counts...in my opinion..you cant feed XP enough RAM...VISTA is said to be worse..although i never ran the BETA ..we,ll see ,i guess.

I,m fully versed in all that ,Chief...but i guarentee you..the machine with 2 gigs is gonna compute faster than one with 512..that includes processing packet data...cheers!

That router has NAT capabilities..thats all..Sygate Free and is available and preferrable to ZA and most others. Use AVG for AV.

Comcast 4k/384...Router set too 100Full Duplex, ...just wondering what the preferred S/R buffers should be ???...Comcast Ping is rather high at @ 72...Thanks Gents! :D

Dont know about their E-Mail...I dont use it...I just set my Cablenut settings to fit the upgrade and waited...LOL....in the mean time, i still managed a @1730 connection.... :D

About right??

MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.
MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which equals MSS.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 64240
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 64240

RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well ...
