I know the problem comes from the OS
but i dunno what causes it

I got this problem b4, but i fixed it.
It happened again after i reformatted my comp and reinstalled windows.

The problem is after i connect to the internet ( i am using Rogers Cable), everything seems good. But, after roughly 2 or so hours, i cant load any pages, it just going to say "The Page ...

I just reformatted last night and everything "seems" to work great .....................for now .

Just switch to something else
I used Sympatico a while ago and i was getting like 500kb/s
now
i am using cable and i am getting 1500kb/s

3 TIMES faster !!!

i tried it
but it didnt fix it
should i just reformat and do a clean install
cuz i got the initial problem after i reformat

how do you remove the winsock files from window registry ??

Reformat the whole thing is my last option

ok i have narrow down to this

when it went down for me
i tried to ping the address ( http://www.rogers.com )
it said unknown host
but
when i ping the ip for that address
i got reponse

so i think it is a winsock problem
ppl have told me that it is not simple then just replacing those ...

Confirm that there are no entries and the DNS is disabled

how do you do that ??

OH yeah
one more thing that i left out
everytime it goes down
i can ping ip but i cant ping http

I am sure its not a ISP related problem
