yep I followed the intructions and also made sure their was nothing left in the registry. The problem actually began before I downloaded those programs. And I got them because IE stopped downloading.

I was a long time ago, but I just uninstalled it. And it still doesnt work.

Every 5-10 minutes my ADSL modem disconnects and I have to reconnect. Its really troublesome when playing online games because my modem stop receiving. How can I fix this?

I had DSL for 3 years, but I moved and COX is the only provider available at the moment.

When I tried the RWIN settings you originally gave me my cable seemed to be getting better, but the next day was the complete opposite. Those RWIN values you just gave me didn't seem to help my cables stability much.

When I ping the forums here the pings are all over the place.

I'm from Louisiana, and so far the only tweak I've used is the SG TCP optimizer, I set it on optimize, and I've also used the Rwin values 49640 and 64240 w/ Tcp1323Opts and Windows Scaling off.

Well using the RWIN values you suggested, my pings are much more stable although they are still a little high. My DL speeds are slighty lower but they don't seem to drop as much as before.

I just got Cox.net yesterday, and the connection was really bad. Today its a little better but its really unstable. My pings flux around 100-150 ms, and my DL speeds are start out decent but then they take a huge hit. Anybody got any ideas how to fix this?
