if you are uploading at the same time you are attempting to take a speed test... then of course your values are going to slow down considerably like you've shown to us. Speed tests should be taken with only 1 window browser open and nothing else going on at the same time.

you should select extreme for the tcp/ip optimizer, after you select your network card, then hit optimal settings at the bottom.. and then hit apply. hey guys, i gots a very frustrating problem at hand where using the same ethernet cable i can't get my windows xp pro based system to recieve internet or even any evidense of showing it is connected. When i connect the same cable to my lap top.. ( mac osX), it works without me having to do anything....

at&t in massachusetts, costs 46$ monthly, doesn't look like it will be changing for a while at least. If your from Massachusetts, and you are trying to choose cable over dsl, definately go with cable.. especially if you can get AT&T as your isp.

yes it is the same ip address... and i used the tcpoptimizer program to adjust it.. but remember... it says the correct RWIN that i applied in the optimizer program and in my regedit.. but when i analyze it.. it says something totally different. So now.. what's the problem...?

i did that too... and the settings showed up correctly like.. the RWIN showed 51100 after i restarted. But this doesn't make sense... cause my router hasn't malfunctioned in any way at all. It's a security router... does this have anything to do with it? basically.. is the router just hiding the act...
