Hey YOS, just stopped by for old times sake and read your message. I guess I got caught up in other parts of life. If I can ever get Comcast to fix my connection so it is reliable I will start folding again.

Vacation time

I'll be shutting down for a couple of weeks while I go visit family back in TX. Middle of the summer, 98 in the shade and 90+ humidity, Oh well, family is there. Will start up again when I return.

Hi all

Just thought I would drop in and take a look around. For all those that have made milestones, congrats. I still plan on firing up the farm again when the weather cools but it looks like I will be well out of the top 10 by then ;) . We had a major thunderstorm here in Sacramento last night; the ...

Shutting down farm for summer

Sorry guys but I have to shut down my farm until it cools down. It was 106 yesterday and has been in the triple digits for the last few days. According to the weatherman, there is no relief in sight. I will be back when the weather cools off.

I have some extra pc 100 sdram if you need it. I have 1 stick of NEC ECC 128 mb, and 2 sticks of 32 mb sdram. It sounds like you have more than enough memory, but you could have a weak stick as others have said. Folding puts a lot of stress on the cpu and memory so anything that's a little weak ...

I'm not sure if this will help, but some Socket A mobo's will turn off SSE recognition on the AMD procs when they restart. I have 2 that do this (FIC AD11). A way to check is to use a program called wcpuid. You can find this program by using one of the search engines. After you have downloaded the ...

If you are located near a Fry's store they have good sales on mobo cpu combos all the time, ie. ECS K7S5A pro mobo & Athlon XP2000+ cpu for $69.99. Mobo comes with usb 2.0 and nic. This would make a start to a relatively fast folding box on the cheap. You can also try outpost.com (Fry's) as they ...
