Well, my pc is lagging bad!! I've defragged the disk, have AVG doing scans everyday. How would I make it so my pc runs quicker?

fixed the problem

Well, most recent laptops come with WiFi connectivity with an internal unit. However, if this doesn't turn out to be the case, they do have 'notebook-adapters', see here ---> http://www.amazon.com/Cisco-Linksys-WPC54G-Wireless-G-Notebook-Adapter/dp/B00007KDVK ... and probably the easiest to install ...

That must be the issue. I have a 1394 Net adapter, (hotwire), A Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC, (local connection). It is a Sony PC, If I have to purchase a WIFI Adapter, dous it get installed in a PCI slot on the motherboard or can I go USB route?

Hello Road Runner, I have a question. I'm trying to connect to the access point, how do I check to see if I even have a wireless nic card? I have 2 adapters, one is the 1394 net adapter and the other is my local area connection. I'm not seeing any wireless connections in my networks, Thanks,
