Should I do it?

Anyone have any experience of using Mircosoft 1985 AKA 1.0? I am thinking of installing that in my CPU, and dual boot with Windows XP/98 in case I need to get back to reality. :D ;)

I want to see how it works, how it evolved over the years... yada yada yada. Just asking here..

When I tried to close the CPU via start-shutdown. When I tried to shut down, it just reboots. Any idea how to solve this?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ MICROSOFT \ WINDOWS \ CURRENTVERSION

Run Regedit. Jot down the ProductKey on the right panel. That should do it.

1998, Chirstmas. Still remembered the first time I dialed with my Modem. The modem was SO loud that I can hear it next door. I don't remember what it was. Starts with an A though.

I would like to have an answer too.. :( Tried to run ICQ, not enough free resources. In the same boat with SVO-1 here. hardly falls below 80, sometimes goes to mid-70s when I run an online game, but that's about the lowest I can get to.

Same thing happened to me too. :( Still don't know what the problem is. I sent the CD-Rom back to the Company so they can do a little tweak on it. Dunno if that's the problem though.

Acutally, don't sweat on that small stuff. There's nothing wrong with your Computer, and changing it doesn't make a difference.

the Ram pieces don't exactly have 384mb of ram, they usually go over,and just rounded it off.

MTU is fully optimized for broadband.

MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1448, which is less than MSS because of Timestamps, or other TCP/IP options used.

For all the Windows XP users out there..

Is there any "good" improvents over NT? I know that it boots at least 2 times faster, but is there anything else? I am too lazy to find out myself. :p

In reward, I shall grant you a ftp that has XP 2520 Pro that you can download. How's that for a reward? :D ;) :p

Right now, I am using 2520 XP Pro, and let me tell ya, it sure beats NT. :D

Seriouly though. You will have to reinstall some drivers, have to redownload all the programs if you decide to do a clean install and wipe out. You could save all your needs and programs on CD so it only take 20 min max to ...

So what if it hogs resources.. All it hogs basiclly is RAM, which you can get it now cheaper than ever before.(59 CDN for 256 special!)

I am thinking of getting myself a XP Pro, since it will run more stable than the home edition from what I heard.(Common sense too.. :p )

Download the sguide_default_whatever your OS is.zop

Install it and you should get your original settings back, though I wouldn't recommand it since the patches works GREAT for me and many other people.

Well, than, you build out then ;) No seriously, just unscrew the screws that connects the VIdeo card with the slot, and then just stick the new one in, and then you are done.
