no, I know about Netmeeting I want a software to broadcast the feed to the website through my home computer not to communicate from software to software. I want the client to be able to see webcam feed with only a webbrowser.

the camara works fine the drivers work fine but i was wondering about the software on those cds and it won't work under 2k/xp after some research it looks like u have to pay $6 to get updated CD.

I think we have a little problem here. I forgot to mention that the laptop has to be able to boot into network. Meaning that you need to have an internal ethernet card built into your laptop. I belive the 2 network cards you mention here are both cardbus. I do not you can boot into cardbus network ...

No problem, I do this all the time with my laptop because my laptop doesn't have a cd rom drive I have to ghost images back and forth. If you need further assistance let me know.

it is very easy to do with norton ghost. All you need is to find out what NIC card your laptop is using, then you start ghost boot wizard and create a network boot disk picking up the drivers of your laptop. You do the same for the desktop. you should setup a dynamic dns to keep track of the new ip and you have to forward one port if you wanna use it over the internet if ur using it on LAN shouldn't be any problem.

I had the same problem with my old NEC CDRW, all you can do is eject and insert cds but when you try to read it, it doesn't recognize cd inside. Basically the drive is history its burnt out, once of the couses of this problem is a cheapy power supply.

VNC is extremly slow, even the advanced version tightvnc is very slow. TSweb works very well for me and when i use it i feel like I am next to the monitor.
