I am using a Toshiba Satellite 1800 with built in nic card
I am able to connect to the internet but I loose the connection within a minute or two. as long as I renew the ip adress ( the ip adress doesnt change) I can connect again. The cable modem light indicates online

speeds vary. just had my old modem replaced with a new one and I noticed a little drop of speed otherwise the speed is not bad, wouldnt mind if it was faster

Ok here's the deal
I have internet on cable and I just got a second PC and I want to be able to connect to the internet on both machines at the same time, as well I would like to have a mini-network just between the two PC's so that I can share files.
