hey everyone
I upgraded to the new version of sygate pro firewall and i like it.
one problem though,the newer version seems to be continuously
writing to the hd.Scan disk keeps restarting.Shut down sygate then scandisk works fine.Anyone else having this problem?im running windows me btw.thanx

port scan to TCP 17300
been getting a lot of these scans lately to tcp port 17300. Anybody have a clue what they might be from?Im on roadrunner and its not from them.

a friend i know has the executer trojan on their puter and its been there for a about 3 months.we ran the cleaner,trojan 5.mcafee,nortons virus scans,spytech integirity check.spy check integirity is the one that found it,but said be cautious with the folder its in.any clues on what to do with this ...

I,ve discovered somthing here I went to start, settings,controll panel,then went to add remove programs,then clicked on windows setup,took the checkmark out of online services,then when I rebooted windows explorer no longer tried to connect to the internet.I,ll run it this way for a time and see ...

brother I had to get off the internet to stop those port scans.I ran netstat -a and port 185 was open.Dont know what program it was.Could have been that RPCSS thing we have down in the windows system file.That thing likes to open differnt ports,like port 135 and others.Another program I don,t like ...

Yes I get That also i dont think it,s to much to worry about.If it,s a flaw and it might be they got a patch for it im sure. just keep blocking it.I just got this port scan The firewall has blocked Internet access to your computer (FTP) from 213.44.30.1 (TCP Port 3951) [TCP Flags: S].
