thanks for the input. I now have a way better understanding of what terms would be feasible. However, at the moment I have "zero" credit.

let's hope that most clients won't mind allocating a large sum of the project. Any funding from my part will have to come out of my capital.

I have symantec endpoint mr4. it has removed a few tracking cookies but thats about it.

I've you malwarebytes and it has also removed a few trojans. However, the message keeps on poping. Additionally, I get a message about an IP that is been blocked.

What is the next step I can take in order to ...

The Dell disk contains a copy of the OS. No drivers or software; just the OS. Like I said, it's been used on other Hp systems and possibly 50 plus machines with different hardware specs.

I've never had an issue. In a wipe and load scenario I usually do the following:

1. Backup drivers/data

Tidserv request detected...After researching this type of malware, I see how it will comprise my machine.

It seems to be getting blocked. Yet, I receive the message every so often...

Any suggestions on how to avoid further comprise from this backdoor trojan?

BSOD after XP install

I am trying to install XP on an Hp pavilion a642n and after the install, and during the OS configuration process, it blue screens!

I tried running a stress test and it doesn't make it pass a couple of minutes. It just crashes.

manual driver backup?

How can I backup drivers off a hard drive that does not boot. It will only boot to safe mode. I need to reformat but need the drivers.

It seems like a trojan has hijacked the apps. Every time an application tries to execute, there no file association along with it...

I just want to wipe and load ...

so I have a netopia modem router switch hooked up to a few clients and 1 DC(just one internal domain). The clients are able to join the domain but receive a limited but no connectivity network connection. It picks up the IP from DHCP at the DC and the DNS. I think the issue was resolved. I was using an internet top level domain name that wasn't registered. How I created an internal one lfras.lab. Is this still accessible by creating a DDNS account creating the NAT rule(pin hole) and just RDP into the server to manage it?

That is correct. How ever I still get a message saying the domain controller can't be contacted when trying to join a client.

Do you think my resource records could be incorrect?

Single NIC. And yes NATing with a private IP range. I just tried enabling DHCP and when I tried to validate the DNS during the process I receive a message saying that the server is not authoritative for the zone. I'm not sure what other things I should configure. Could it be the host records and PTR ...

I do have the workstation static DNS pointing towards the servers IP. I'm still disabling DHCP correct? By separating the ISP connection from internal LAN do you mean adding another device such as a router?

I have not enabled DHCP on the server. I will give that a shot. However the one particular machine that I was trying to join had a static IP. Would that matter?

The manager wants to be able to manage permissions and just access the server from where ever she is. That is why I thought we might need ...

thanks for a response.

Nothing robust.. just an all in one netopia modem/router/switch to the client computers and server. I happen to also have the same setup at home but I don't mind paying extra for a static IP or a block. How would I proceed in either scenario? thanks again.

How would it be possible to legally put your name on a computer case and sell it as if you were the manufacturer?

For example, if you buy an ASUS case and you build the PC and want to put your logo on it, how can you legally do that?

Or do you have to make a case yourself and patent it?
