Have you tried clearing all your internet cache, histories and cookies from your machine? Also get "Autoruns.exe" from microsoft.com and check that nothings hogging your bandwidth. their are otherways to check this but autoruns puts it all on one page so you can click and disable. Don't disable ...

James, I did some checking and found that your modem could be the problem.
Although it says it can handle upto 38Mb most people are having trouble with it. My advice would be to get it upgraded to a Motorola SB5101e, the E stands for Ethernet. Good Luck.

Go for the 8800 GTS it's DX10 and it's about as good as the best of the DX9 cards you can buy. I paid £189 2 weeks ago and i'm amazed at what I got for my money. Consider it being DX10 compatible as a bonus.

What worked for me and got me from 6Mbit to 20Mbit+ was changing the settings on my network card from 100Mbit full Duplex to autonegotiate.
