Damn, after tweaking got 6 Mbps down and 1.5 Mbps up. Take that. I chatted with others in the IRC channel, they even got higher speed than I am, they are getting 15 Mbps down and 4 Mpbs up. Now that's what I'm talking about broadband.
Peace out \/

Guess what I just found out. There's a web site that shows you how to uncap your Surfboard modem to pass the 1.5 Mbps barrier. It consists of 8 steps with detailed guides and pictures of course. But the bad thing is that I don't have a surfboard.
Let me try it out and I post the results for you ...

Can you name a few good DSL providers with static IP with no extra cost and affordable price with OK speed 1.5 Mbps/128Kbps. I am really sick and tire of ATT. I've been having it for quite some times now with static IP. Until last nite, with no notices my IP change. The only problem I having is that ...

Sup, all! I finally got qualified for SWB DSL now (after waiting for a year) and the speed they advertised as 1.5 Mbps / 128 Kbps. My question is can you use cablenut or whatever tweak out there to make it go beyond the 1.5 Mbps like we all did before ATTBI came in??

lots of ppl I know around my town having lots of problem with ATTBI network too since the switch. But I don't think DSL is any better, cuz I know some ppl and they said the same so I'll just have to hang with ATT for now and give them some times. If no improvements, then switch over to DSL, and ...

Hi, before ATT @Home went out off bankruptcy. I tested my speed on http://www.pcpitstop.com on a 5 MB file, I would get around 5500 kbps. But now after moving to ATTBI network, I got down like not even 1.5 Mbps. Sucks...any1 else??

forgot to mention that Linux is not lesser than window? Almost anything you find in Windows, you can find it in Linux (software wise) like Microsoft Office, CDR Prog, browser like IE, winamp, Media Player (DivX), etc.

I think everyone should change your OS to Linux. Everything is so fast in Linux. My Smart and Friendly CDRW drive at 4x4x24 in windows only burns at max 600 KB/s but in Linux, I can specify it as a scsi and it burns at 1 MB/s.
