Hi im having issues with my desktop. I cant get online . And my wifi works fine. I just booted my box up from sittin for years. It had gotten a virus at which I formated and reinstalled windows xp pro.

Neither nic are sending or receiving.

hi, my father is looking to upgrade the memeory in my mothers hp, from the looks of it's an asus a8n-la mobo, and can accept 4gb ddr ram,

he's planning to put it in dual channle mode and run with two one gb sticks,.

i have been out of the tech side of computers long enough now that i dont know ...

well that worked, but now i dont have any net connection.. and i cant seem to get any drivers or any thing to make it work, im gona re-install windows a 4th time and hope it works better..

im back on my other hd rite now and every thing but the dam virusus works great..

yeah, to 6.12 thought i was loading some of the tv stuff for the aiw and it asked for my ati cd to upgrade the codecs and i couldn't find my video card box in my closet.. but the drivers installed just fine..

i would actualy be most happy if i could put an older version of ie back onto my computer ...

I have a Bio Star K7 motherboard (amd) I put in a AMD Athlon 1500 cpu and itonly reads at1.054 how do I make read at 1.5 or even over clock it will not allow you to change front bus speed it shows it but is not avalible any help is greatly appreciated.

got it figured out.. i didn't find the right drivers for my computer but we found the right ones for his and windows is installing. @! quickly .. very fast like 20 mins.

I'm not sure if its completely a heat issue, I guess I'll just start maxing out bf2 and seeing how hot it gets and then back off a lil. I know the cooler on these suck arse so I just want it to last a year and then im taking the heatsink cooler off and replacing it with a good one.

Its a thermaltake 480w buttefly. I am running 2 side case fans, a cdrw, dvd rom, 80 gig western digital, my mobo and cpu w/ fan. I think it was overheating, because once I turned the fan from auto to manual 100% it stopped crashing..

and he's running an dfi lan party ultra b with a barton mobile (2500)

i tried using the disk that came with my abit board.. but the problem is im not sure what driver to use..

i have tried the silicon imagine 3112 and the silicon image 3114..

i told him the same ...

while i thought similar so i made sure their was only one drive plugged in. via sata.. ..

i also have no ide drives connected.

and where having some problems getting it installed

it's a sata150 drive maxtor maxline III
300 GB and has 16mb cache.

either way it's alot of fun, it's more of a socail thing if you play it with x box, that way you can pas the control instead of gettin out of your seat if you have friends that play aswell,

it looks alot better on the pc then on the x box at least if you have a good video card...

well i changed all my hard ware last year and the dam comp has worked great. i have been thinking about a fresh install but 80gig's is alot to back up when your not 100% sure what all you should save..

i just went through the display settings again and found nothing wrong, but then went through the ccc and found AF at 16x i bet this could explain my bad fps, any ways it did ,

right now im gettin about 150fps in hl2 YEAH FOR ME!!!!

alright i have done an uninstall of my old card, got the new card in and installed using the cd that came with

the drivers on the cd are cat's 3.9 LOL

what driver should i down load on ati?

like should i just select a normal radeon card? or do i have to find the multimedie drivers?
