The computer is not self-made; it's kind of hybrid between laptop and desktop. This is the closest similar model I could find:
fmworld.net/fmv/pcpm1105/fh_23/spec

So from the hardware / build point of view it's same as a laptop, so graphic card is on the MB therefore I can't replace it.

Of course ...

HDMI port doesn't output to external monitor

I want to output video to an external monitor from my PC, through the HDMI port. However it doesn't work...

I checked with other cable and other monitor but same situation. On the other hand, I can output to same monitors from other two computers, so the monitors and the cables are not the problem ...

PCs on LAN can ping each othr but can't share files

I have a LAN with 2 PCs and the situation is weird: PCs on same workgroup can see each other, but they can't see the shared files/folders- because these don't show up in Network (Windows Explorer).

One computer is the main one (Windows 10, set as Master Browser), the other one is XP.
Name of the ...

Hi,
Thank you for the tip.
I checked and the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) and the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Locator services are exactly as you say.

I don't know if it helps somehow, but I uploaded the Windows Logs files in Event Viewer here:

Analog Joystick

I have a project and I need an analog joystick.

The only model I found searching on the net is the "Advanced Gravis Joystick",

but it's kind of old and I was wondering if there are similar ones out there.

In the worst case, a digital joystick would be OK too, but it should have 16 directions or ...

OK, you could say that, in the sense that the drive letter is there.
However when you click on it in Explorer, the computer hangs forever and I have to forcefully close Explorer.
No file or folder can be seen on drive.

How to idle a rarely used HDD

On my desktop PC, beside the main HDD with the master-partition I also use a separate HDD which I actually access quite rarely, say once a week.

So I want to know if there's any application utility out there which can let me stop the HDD when I don't need it running and restart it when I need it.
I ...

- prevented ZoneAlarm to load at startup
- blocked my web browsers (IE, Firefox) to the internet
