Hello,
I have been having a lot of problems ever since I switched to dsl from cable.
Every now and then I will loose internet on my laptop, it will say local only, and can not be fixed till it comes back on its own.
And now my web pages are loading very slowly and or not loading at all, im also ...

I was told I have double nat, But is that whats cousing my constand internet disconnections?

The constant dc's webpages not loading on both wired connection and wireless conection to my laptop. dsl line.

Ok well I had to reset my modem to set it into bridge mode and I lost my internet, I had to call and I guess you are not supposed to reset it as I need to talk to a rep to apply the username and password and reconfigure it.
He said that the modem itself aint a router and changing it to bridge mode ...

Follow your modem user manual or contact ISP to get it.
Ok well just got off the phone with those idiats and they said they dont have acces to the modem? WTF?
so they say they cant resolove my prob, my internet drops connection every 5 mins.
SO ill try contacting the modem manufactorer.

I just swiched my internet to dsl from cable and the conncetion keeps dropping and wont connect back.

what program are you using for ftp?
you should really be using a standalone ftp client.
download and install this:
www.ftpx.com

note: if use a software firewall then you will have to allow the ftp client to connect when the firewall blocks it.

use this is modified code, not the code above ...

well I'm not really using a program, just IE.
I downloaded the program you suggested but I am getting this error when I try connecting to the server:

OK I figured it out and downloaded it and opened it with notepad, found the line and entered new line you gave me.
saved it then tried to upload it but it didn't work?
I dragged it and said open file or save file... :confused: :confused:

I use opera because internet explorer is slow.I do p2p file sharing so that was it I bet.Well I thought anti virus would protect me from everything, if not it should. Also I use mcafee as a virus protection program.

You should really consider removing Mcafee virus protection and the firewall if ...
