NT4 register patch

Does anyone still have a speedpatch, register tweak for NT4?

It would be great to be able to speed up the Internet abit on these workstations.

Hot damit, ZoneAlarm has blocked nearly 200 connections attemtts during the last 7 hours..I usually don't have any attampts at all, (and yeah 99% of the source ip is similar to mine).

I don't think that the University have one fraction T3 connected to the net, what I could imagin is that your apartment complex have one T3 connected to the university that the people in the aparments are sharing. So at of peak hours you could get very good speeds...

First of all using a ISA card instead of a PCI card is not good at all. This could prolly cause bad speed, pings and hight cpu usage..

I thought that was the whole point of using a load balancing software. So how does it actually work? If I connect to a ftp and download, since I only have one connection to the ftp will it us both lines ...

Yeah the hd's are the bottel neck, I have never managed to get more then 5MB/s out of my 100mbit hubbed network.

But I can atleast get about 30MB/s out of my IBM ultra 100 running on a ultra 66 controller :) IBM hd are the best :)

To bad I don't have a good HD on the other computer.

Well the funny thing were that I could have the program seleced for a minut and never once did it hit the more then ~600K, but as soon as I deselected the program it managed to get higer..I tested it over and over with the same results.

Well I tried it over and over during one download..as soon as I had the meater deselected it were able to get like 620-660 and as soone as I selected it it wouldn't show more then max spikes at 605K, So it should not have anything to do with the actuall speed.

Du Meter acts very strange.

When I don't have the DU Meter window selected, it can show speed up to 660KBytes/s but as soon as I select du meters diagram window it won't show any higer speeds then about 600KByte.
Anyone got a clue what's going on with DuMeter, can I really relly on the speed that dumeter gives me? And does ...

What's the diffrents between the dsl and cable tweaks, is it only that that cable are optimised for higher speeds?

At the moment I am using the "cable fast" tweak and it works fine (I max out at ~600kbyte), is there any reason why the "dsl fast" would be better?

Just remove the linksys from the network, and reconfig you computer to work without the linksys...now you can see if it' all because of the linksys or if they have capped you..

hmmm...I still get the blue screen and some ntoskernel.exe error.
It doesn't matter if I try to run the adf first or the tcpip, after a couple minutes waiting I just get the blue screen.

What could be the cause of this?

I just reeinstalled win2k SP1 so there shouldn't be any problems with win2k ...

Well I have never managed to get max speed from any speedtest page, what I try is using a fast ftp. One fast US ftp that I have found is ftp.icq.com. I am getting almost 600k from this ftp and i think it's very good considering I live in Europe.

Well I can't seem to manage to get it working.
The ramdrive loads without any problems,I have changed the image dir for the tcpip.sys & afd.sys in the registery. I have put a .bat file in the starup folder.
