I got it fixed, I followed a guide on toms hardware or something. The only thing that eventually worked, was reinstalling XP pro on the desktop.

My desktop was visible to my laptop under the 'view all workgroup computers' screen.

Actually, both computers were visible on both computers. So I can see it, but if I try and connect to it, it says I don't have permission.

Okay new developments here. I am running ME I think I forgot to mention that in the last post. Anyway, I disabled windows restore, and set the computer to desktop computer or whatever, it was on network.

Not sure which one of those did it, but now I am running 5.5MB/s on the 20 GIG, and 3.5MB/s on ...

The speed of all of my HD's uncached speed is really low, like .5MB/s. The computer is kinda running slow and runs out of steam fast.

Just wondering what could cause this, one HD is a 7200RPM disk at 20GB, a quantum fireball I believe. and the other one is a 5400 RPM 8 gig piece of crap.

Okay, I reformatted my drive, but the only thing I had to reinstall it was Win 95. So, I had to get rid of the fat 32 file system. Now in Windows millenium, It only sees my 8 Gigabyte disk as a 2 gig! How do I fix this and get back to fat 32?

Okay, Creative made the card, and right on the box it says 32 megs of DDR ram. wouldn't have bought it otherwise. If it isn't DDR ram, then I guess that would be fraud, eh?

Hmm, that's wierd, it says 32MB of DDR RAM right on the box!

Anybody know how I change the multipliers on this motherboard, They say that the 800MHz Duron is O'Cable to 1000MHz with air cooling.

Also, my ram is PC-100, so If I O'C the FSB to 133MHz, will the ram still read?

It has always run excellently for me. Most fun I had in since my days of Rogue Spear. Definately more fun than CS, in my opinion anyway.

I performed every one of speedguides windows tweaks.

I overclocked it, had it for 2 hours and already overclocking it, anyway, it is sitting at 812MHz, and it actually made a huge framerate difference. I am up to 2444 or something like that now.

Okay here's the deal. I finally got tired of using this stupid motherboard and 466 celeron, so I upgraded.

I bought a MS-6340M micro atx va motherboard, and an 800 MHZ Duron processor. Now, why on earth is my best 3dmark 2000 score only 1444? I got 1206 with the celeron.
