According to winXP task manager, I am only using 5% of my network bandwidth. My LAN connection is 100mbps which s hould be approx 12.5MB/sec but I am only getting less that 1MB transfer. I remember getting speeds like 6.5MB/sec before but maybe that was because I had win2k. Can anyone help me out ...

What kind of speeds are you guys getting for your linksys routers, 4 port routers? I'm getting about 3.5 - 4.5 mbps. I should be getting a lot faster right? I think I should be considering that my network is 200mbytes full duplex. NICs are 10/100 dlinks.

When you say 2 cable lines, are they 2 independent lines or SPLIT lines from the cable that comes from outside?

Like my teacher said, "hubs are dumb. They are going the way of the dinosaur". Switches on the other hand are smarter...you can configure them. Layer 3 switch is the best...better than a router.
