i have a compaq 2000/4000 server.
dual p 166 4 scsi drives.
when i first got it the drives wouldn't show up so i started swapping them out and going thru setup till i finally got it to boot to novel server.
after that i'm not sure what happened but now when it try to boot i get "missing operating ...

i picked up a old compaq prolinea mt 4/66 that is set up for scsi.

i have what i think is a switch. it is made by DATACOM.LTD. (at least that is what's on it)
it has two D 25 pin male connections with DIP switches... port/link 0 and port/link 1.

mike, i'm wanting to do the same thing.
i would suggest going into system properties then hardware profiles and then make a copy of the original configuration file.
this will allow you to reboot and choose which configuration file you want to load.
either edit the original or reboot and then ...

i have a D-Link DSC-350 webcam/camera.
it works fine as a camera but when i go to use it as a webcam it will work for a few min then i loose the webcam, and of the computer locks up.
have been to D-Links site and no help there.

i've was wondering if anyone knows where i can get a shareware program that monitors movement using my webcam. i've seen listings for such program the looks for a change in pictures that the cam is monitoring and will take snapshots.

my original c:\ drive won't boot now but i can still access the files after swapping drives.
a tech guy at work told me i could use the dos "sys" while in msdos to restore the mbr.
when i tried that it told me it needed more ...
