I've got a D-Links Di-704 router. I do a little online gaming. When I do I just put the router in DMZ mode on my pc. On my other pc ,that my kids are on,they can't download mp3,s.

actual D/L speeds ??

Between DSLreports and PC pitstop my speeds are 200kbps difrence.

So if I D/L at 119 to 128 KB/s ,what is my actual speed?

DSLrepoets says 860kbps D/L ,PCpitstop says 1090 kbps.

I have the silver package in the St Louis area (St Charles) and have been getting 700 t0 1100 kbps D/L and 140 to 179 U/L.

Pings have been great and web pages open fast....

They mat not be as fast D/L as @home but pings are twice as good and uploads are twice as fast.

this may sound kinda stupid but my sister had the same problem. I went through msconfig,still had problem.
I checked her memory on my pc,it was fine.
I went through stuff for an hour and finaly she said she had downloaded a cool screen saver. I got rid of it and the problem was solved..... go ...

I was just changed over this morning. My D/L speeds are down from 3000kbps to around 1000 kbps and my U/L are 177 ,up from 80 or 90 kbps.

But my pings are great !!! And thats what it's all about when online gamming

Under TCP/IP Properties,in the NetBios tab,shouls the box be checked that says ( I want to enable NetBios over TCP/IP) and if not ,how do ya uncheck it. Mines grayed out??

I don't understand why my speeds droped as of about 3 weeks ago?
I was gettn 2500 to 3300 kbps dwn , now it's 800 to 1100kbps dwn.

I wonder if that Worm virous has somthing to do with it?

When I open IE from desktop, it opens in full screen,no problem,but when I open web pages from favorites or short cuts they open in a 4in x4in window.

I know that when you close IE,it will open in the same window size from when you closed, but when closing from favortes link in full screen,then ...
