What version 660 do you have? You should be able to just connect a switch to it...most of the 660 models are already NAT routers that share the IP.

Not sure what version the 660 series modem is, as it is from Embarq (formally Sprint) which handles my DSL connection. I wanted to also be able to ...

Firewall compatibility

I am wondering if a modem with firewall, router with firewall and a software firewall could create a conflict if running all at the same time. I have a ZyXEL Prestige 660 series modem, a Linksys WRT54G router and Zone Alarm all running at the same time. Could there be a conflict between the 2 ...

My sister sent me an email that said this was happening when she went to check her email. "another application is controlling the wireless adaptor" I have never heard of that before, what happened?

I do know what NIC stands for, but even though, some people use the word card after it. The reason I think it is the card is: I had removed the router from the connection, and it still drops connection, I have had the modem replaced and it still drops the connection, The phone company has checked ...

New NIC card

I have a NetGear NIC card in my computer at the moment and it keeps dropping my connection, I am curious as to which is the best card for a decent price, Linksys, or ????? The one I have is a 10/100/1000, is it necessary to have that or is 10/100 sufficient? I am on a 3meg download.
