im using the latest version of Grabit.

im having a problem dling multipart files(video). i can dl other things such as images just fine but whenever i try to dl multiparts like .rar and .par2's they dont show up in the dl folder.

they only way itll dl is if the "save as .txt" box. i tried renaming ...

i need some help. im trying to create a number guessing game, eventually itll be randomly generated but for now its hard coded. im trying to have it loop, after a user plays it once, itll prompt Y/N to play again.

boot problem.

i was in the middle of a fresh install of WinXP, it was reformatting the HD, and preparing to install but sometime during the reformat the computer just shut off.

after this happened the computer refuses to get past the boot screen.

"at best" itll read:

Main Processor : AMD Athlon(tm) XP 1250MHz ...

im updating a fresh install of XP and on certain updates itll say doesnt have a digital signature or just fail to install. these are updates like Direct X 9 and what not, so how the hell does it not have a microsoft digital signature.

this happens to me with Medieval: Total War. almost the same situation, new vidcard, newl formatted HD, scandisked, up to date drivers, moderate temps.

my first thought was infact the AV but that fix only worked for a while then its starting to happen again.

i just bought the Sony DVD±RW DRU-530A locally for $160 but Sony's site has it for $150.

pretty much covers all formats except for DVD-RAM.

also theres a firmware update that allows DVD-R/RW 8x.

yeah it was the vidcard, Brent probably was right about the voltage thing.

i returned it and got the 9600se and it works fine, i was really tempted to get the regular 9600 but didnt want to risk it not working either.

KG7-RAID + Radeon9600XT

are there known problems with using a 9600XT with the KG7R?

i just put in a 9600XT, Sony DRU-530A, and a 256meg stick of crucial ram.

now the computer wont boot, the first time i turned it on it started to beep. now it doesnt beep but theres no image on the screen.

I have 2 boxes each with Win2kPro installed. box1 can access box2 fine but not vice versa. each box is always logged in as administrator for the respective boxes. no other users exist.

this is what confuses me, is box1 acting as administrator for both?

box2 is able to see box1 but fails to access ...
